On her YouTube channel, Catrice has published a video where she shows the process of making a lipstick from start to finish, and the truth is that there are very curious things. You can see it in the opening video of the news.
First of all, to make a lipstick you choose a base texture, formed by different oils and waxes. This base is heated to make it a liquid, and various powder components and color pigments, key to the end result.

This mass is combined with the rest of the base texture, and heated to turn it into a liquid. Next fragrances and skin care ingredients are added. Catrice is quite generic on the subject of the products used, because they are usually kept secret so that they are not copied by the competition.

Carmine is kept at a temperature between 80 and 85 degrees Celsius, so that it remains in a liquid state. It is then inserted into some silicone moldswhich have the characteristic shape of a lipstick.
These molds are put to cool so that the lipstick solidifies. Being silicone, when the lipstick is cold they are easily removed, because the silicone expands.
Finally a machine inserts the lipstick into its plastic base, by pressure. The most curious thing is that the lid must be placed manually by factory workers.
