Doors will open to customers and friends of Marchesini Group – from 22nd – 24th September 2009 – to the new factory of Marchesini France, that, founded in 1976, is moving to Saint Mesmes, in the suburb of Paris. It will be a special occasion to visit the new modern and innovative building created by architects Benoit Jallon and Umberto Napolitano (Lan Architecture): to which an article was dedicated in the famous French magazine "D'Architectures" in April this year.

The appealing and functional factory of approximately one thousand square meters, spread over 6 thousand square meters of land, accommodates 23 employees dedicated not only to commercial activities but also to after-sales services with the aim to meet all the technical assistance requirements of the Group's many French customers.

Thanks to this new important investment in Marchesini France - whose yearly turnover is roughly 20 million Euro – the group consolidates its presence on the French market, where Marchesini is among the main suppliers of stand-alone machines and complete lines for packaging pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. Among the Group's 600 odd customers in the French territory, are small and medium sized companies but also multinational enterprises from the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.

Marchesini Group for cosmetics Marchesini Group has made its name on the French market in particular for its complete lines for packaging a variety of types of cosmetic products, such as tubes, jars, sachets, vials, mascara and so on. What's more, the Group produces innovative machines for packaging nail varnish, lip gloss, face powder, perfume and soap, both unwrapped and wrapped, not to forget the cutting edge solution for more complex packages, typical of the cosmetic field, such as complete hair colouring kits. Winning and hi-tech solutions for the cosmetic industry, designed to provide important solutions for the requirements of each customer, such as the filling machine of syringes with liquid solutions for anti-wrinkle products for example.

Such systems are indeed designed and developed by Marchesini Group for top rank customers such as L'Oréal Group, LVMH Group (Givenchy, Dior Parfumes, Guerlain, Kenzo…), Puig Group (Paco Rabanne, Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci, Commes de Garçons, Prada) Procter&Gamble, Pierre Fabre, Estée Lauder, Weleda, Antica Erboristeria, Chanel Parfums Beauté and Coty Group ( Clavin Klein, Chopard..) among others.

Marchesini Group for pharmaceuticals On the French pharmaceutical market, Marchesini has made its name thanks to its complete lines for packaging solid pharmaceuticals, to its blister lines but also to its vaccine and vial lines. Important projects developed for rather esteemed partners such as Sanofi Aventis, GSK, Servier, Eli Lilly, Merck Serono and Schering Ploug, just to name a few.

Throughout the three-day Open House of Marchesini France, visitors can take a look at the complete lines and stand-alone machines for packaging cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, all of which are cutting edge products created by Marchesini Group specifically for the liquids and solids market.

In the limelight will be UNICA, the new monobloc robotic line that integrates deep draw thermo forming and carton packing processes in one single unit (150 cartons/min): a solution that features totally robotic feeding units. Another role leader will be INTEGRA300, an integrated robotic blister line that integrates the two thermo forming (blisters) and carton packaging processes in one single monobloc unit: this machine works at a production rate of 300 blisters/min.

Visitors may then admire the new labelling machine BL400VTEXL, by Neri, which applies and controls track & trace codes for pharmaceutical products and other labels with various code combinations, again "track & trace". With this and other products, Marchesini Group is ready to offer its international customers solutions to adapt their pharmaceutical packaging lines to the new and emerging requirements enforced by traceability standards. For the tube filling market, the MILLENNIUM 120 machine produced by Tonazzi Vasquali will be on show, with its easily removable and cutting edge batching unit. Developed following the successful Millenium version, this tube filling machine with one channel offers a production rate of 120 pieces per minute.
