ABC Texture, a French R&D laboratory and subcontracting manufacturer of cosmetic formulas, is investing in a new lipstick filling machine, which will allow the company to pack a wide variety of lipsticks, including square, rectangular or slim stick shapes.

The company headquartered in Dinard, Brittany, on the west coast of France, has joined forces with its Korean supplier to adapt the machine so as it is also able to produce large diameter foundation sticks, using silicone moulds.

This new 100% automatic filling line, which will be fully operational during the first quarter of 2017, will produce up to 1,200 lipstick pieces per hour.

Thanks to this investment, ABC Texture can now offer an in-house packaging service to complete its current formulation and manufacturing offer.

A new workshop of 400m2 has been dedicated to this new activity.

ABC Texture earns ISO 22716 certification

In order to have its quality assurance system recognized, ABC Texture asked LRQA to certify the conformity of its Good Manufacturing Practices with the ISO 22716 standard.

"Through this certification, we validate and reinforce our commitment to ensure the safety of cosmetic products," says the company.
