These high oil prices don’t just affect what you pay at the pump.

Oil is in or tied to thousands of everyday products we use here at home. About 60% of the world’s oil consumption comes in the form of fuel, but much of what remains can be found in everyday products.

Now experts say, we could see higher prices on everything.

The Department of Energy says petrochemicals derived from oil and natural gas make the manufacturing of over 6,000 everyday products and high-tech devices possible. And if it’s not used in the product, oil is used to make or transport it. Below are just a few products derived from oil.
